Event: 2015 Peugeot & Dongfeng Peugeot Brand Night/Launching Conference of New Peugeot 508
After 2 years of working closely with Peugeot, SMS Beijing provided a platform to elevate the brand’s image through a series of experiential marketing activities that were quickly recognised by the public. This is the third Peugeot and Dongfeng Peugeot brand event produced by SMS Beijing, and whether in scale or impact, this event has topped all records. Not only did it offer a stunning immersive experience, it also signified the beginning of the brand’s breakthrough into the premium automotive market.
There were 3 key objectives for this event:
- to showcase the revamp of the latest car model 508;
- to illustrate a fusion of the Chinese and French culture; and
- to penetrate the new 508’s market segment with a completely new way of presentation
The Perfect Integration of Product and Imagery
An artistic display of high-end technology was used as the medium to set the tone for the Dongfeng Peugeot Brand; beginning from the entrance, through to the exhibition area, and finally to the stage with a 540sqm mega screen creating an extended spatial effect. Projected onto the screen are videos produced at motion picture standards to present impressive CG sceneries of a forest, of Paris, and of Beijing. Complemented by interactive projections on the cars’ windshields, the visual effects have brought to life the brand’s character for the whole product series as well as the new 508.
Constantly Adapting for Life’s Satisfactions – The All New 508
To break away from the traditional interactive dance performances, a creative concept was developed to pique the 3 senses – sight, taste and sound, and three renowned masters were invited to create a visual art, a musical, and a culinary journey at the event. First, award-winning industrial designer, Mr. Yang Mingjie and his Museum of Industrial Design team presented a bike show specifically designed for the new 508. Then world-class musician, Mr. Huang Mengla performed a stunning violin performance, and finally, award-winning chef, Ms. Chen Lanshu shared her philosophies on love and food. Through these individual stories told, the audience had a deeper understanding of the customer orientation for the new 508.
