In March 2015, Volkswagen Group Taiwan successfully hosted Taiwan Brand Night. The event awakened Taiwan’s automotive industry and sparked widespread attention from the media and the whole marketing community. The event marked a historic breakthrough from traditional marketing practices and spared no innovation in its approach. The Master behind the event— SMS Taipei.
The Volkswagen Taiwan Brand Night stood out as a rare large-scale brand event in recent years. In January 2015, Volkswagen Group established its local branch in Taiwan for the operations of the Taiwan market. The night took an important role in branding which redefined Volkswagen Group and highlighted the core concept of Volkswagen: People-oriented service. To establish a powerful entrance for the Volkswagen group, SMS Taipei team invited the renowned puppet group from Germany – DUNDU, to perform in Taipei for the very first time. The interactive lifelike greeting by the two 4.5m tall puppets created the most vivid and memorable impression in the audiences of Volkswagen’s humanistic core value. This marked a strong success of SMS in integrating worldwide intelligence and artistic expressions into this large-scale performance that won Volkswagen Group a leading place in the Taiwanese automotive market.
With the technology and equipment imported from Germany, SMS built an enormous marquee – a never-before-seen in Taiwan. Large LED multi-level screen with mobile rails to shuttle cars onto the stage and to move between various scenes to create the most remarkable visual effect. Once again, the SMS Taipei team demonstrated the capability in taking the lead in the marketing.
